Sparkling Hojicha

If you’ve never met Hojicha with a sparkle, you’re in for a treat. Our Organic Hojicha Powder is known for its toasty, nutty charm—and when you mix it with bubbles? Magic. Light, refreshing, and just a little unexpected, this sparkling Hojicha recipe is the kind of drink you’ll want to sip during those warm months.
Ingredients
- 3g AVANTCHA Organic Hojicha Powder
- 240ml sparkling water, divided
- 1/4 cup ice
- Optional: maple syrup for a sweeter drink
Directions
- To prepare, sift 2 AVANTCHA Matcha spoon of AVANTCHA Organic Hojicha powder (3g) into bowl or press whisk down several times to break up and loosen the powder.
- Whisk 1 teapsoon of Hojicha powder with 60ml of sparkling water.
- Add 1/4 cup of ice to a glass and 180ml of sparkling water (and maple syrup if you’re adding and stir).
- Slowly pour the whisked Hojicha over the ice and enjoy.
