Majestic Earl Grey Mistress - Earl Grey Infused Vodka Recipe

Eddie’s Elegant Tipple

As well as curating two special teas in partnership with Netflix for series The Gentlemen, each representing the show’s ‘good guy’ Eddie, and his ‘bad boy’ brother Freddy, we also created a tea cocktail for both. These were tasted, selected and served at the London premiere for the cast and guests to enjoy. Here’s how to make Eddie’s Majestic Earl Grey Mistress at home, with suggestions on how to make this non-alcoholic if you prefer.

Ingredients

  • 50ml of AVANTCHA Majestic Earl Grey Infused Vodka (we used Ketel One or Absolut)
  • 20ml Sugar Syrup
  • 1 Ring of Fresh or Tinned Pineapple chopped into four small pieces
  • 4 Fresh Raspberries
  • Prosecco or other Dry Sparkling Wine

Method

  • To make Majestic Earl Grey Vodka, add 3 teabags to standard size bottle of vodka and leave to infuse for minimum 4 hours (max 8 hours) at room temperature
  • To make sugar syrup, mix 1:1 ratio (i.e. 250ml water to 250g sugar) of filtered water with caster sugar in a small pan and bring to a simmer, stirring to ensure all sugar is dissolved
  • Add vodka, syrup, pineapple and raspberries to a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice and shake vigorously for a couple of minutes before double straining into a coupe glass by using a cocktail strainer poured over a small sieve to remove any fruit or crushed ice
  • Top with Prosecco and add a teabag on top as an extra flourish
  • For a non alcoholic option, infuse 1 AVANTCHA Majestic Earl Grey Teabag in 250ml still lemonade and follow remaining instructions, omitting the sugar syrup (unless you like it sweet) topping up the glass with sparkling water instead of Prosecco
